Step by step guide to register and open your shop on Dufa

This is a detailed guide to help you register and open your shop on Dufa.
Download & Install the Seller App
Dufa makes selling easy for our sellers so they so not have to worry about selling and they can continue to do what they love and are good at. We have created an App that is just for Sellers to onboard and manage their orders. All you need is a smart phone to install the App.
To start selling on Dufa, you need to install the ‘Sell on Dufa’ App on the Play store on Android phones. The App will be available on Apple App Store shortly. Install and Open the App. Once you open the App, you will be shown a login page, click on ‘Open Shop’ to start the registration process.

Step 1: User Registration
1. Add your profile picture: A picture creates a sense of trust and bonding between the sellers and buyers. People would love to see the face behind the lovely products you create. Add a picture and take credit for the work you do and for people to identify with you.
To add a picture, click on the + button on the image as shown below in the image. It will open a pop-up and ask you to select ‘Gallery’, ‘Camera’ or ‘Cancel’. Choose ‘Gallery’ to pick a picture from your phone’s gallery or ‘Camera’ to click a picture. You can crop the picture accordingly and click OK.

2. First Name and Last Name: The next step is to add your First Name and Last Name. Ensure you give your real name as customers would love to know you. Do not use your business name here. Your name is shown against the store as the maker & owner of the products.
A tip is to type your name with the first character in capitals, for example:
First Name: Mary Last Name: Beth
If you have a middle name you’d like to use, add it to the first name with a space.

3. Mobile Number: Provide your mobile number which you use. This will receive the OTP used for registration and authentication. Ensure the mobile number is with you at the time of registration. You don’t have to provide the Country code, only type in the 10 digit mobile number.

4. Email ID: Provide you email ID that you use for your business and check regularly. All notifications of orders and newsletters will be sent to this email address. The email address is optional, but we highly recommend you enter your business email for all communication.

5. Password: Set the password that is secure. The password will be used to authenticate you the next time you login. Ensure you set a password that you can remember but also one that is strong. All passwords on Dufa are encrypted and stored so even Dufa Admins have no access to the password set by you.
Rules for setting a password:
- Must be at least 8 characters long
- Must have at least 1 capital letter
- Must have at least 1 number
- Must have at least 1 special character such as @, #, $, &
Example: Dufa@1234
To ensure if you have typed the password without errors you can click on the ‘eye’ icon on the password field to see what you have typed.

6. Confirm Password: Enter the password again. Ensure it’s same as the one you typed on the field above. Click on the ‘eye’ icon to verify you have typed the correct password.
7. Click on Save and Continue: Click on the save and continue button to save your changes so far.
8. OTP Verification: As soon as you click on the submit button, you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the 4 digit on the screen as displayed to verify your registration.

Step 2: Shop Registration
- Add a logo: Adding a logo gives your shop a professional look, so make sure you add a logo to your store. The resolution required for the banner is 200 x 200 pixels and the size of the file should not be more than 250 -300 KB.

2. Add a banner: Adding your banner can make a lot of difference to the look of your store. Make your store page look professional. You can add a banner with your store logo and alternatively you can use this space to put up a banner for any sales and promotions.
The resolution required for the banner is 600 x 350 pixels and the size of the file should not be more than 250 -300 KB.

3. Give your shop a name: Enter the name of your shop. If you have an existing business, we highly recommend you use the same name. If you are new to starting your business, think of a catchy name and enter it. Don’t worry, you can change the name of the shop later as well.

4. Store Description: Enter a detailed description of your store here. Buyers can view the story behind your artwork and business on your store page. Some tips on a great description can be to let sellers know about when you started your journey, what is the art or creation about, what makes your products unique, how much time does it take you to create each piece and what goes into making your products. You can also share if you personalize or customize your products. Share your passion and inspire fellow artists and attract buyers who want to know your story! 5. Art Origin: Enter the State and City the art originated from. This may or may not apply for your products, hence you can leave it blank. If you sell Madhubani paintings, then you can choose Bihar as the Art origin.

6. GST: GST is mandatory for selling online even if your turnover is less than 20 lakhs. You also must add your GST and Company PAN number. Select yes, if you have GST and enter your GSTIN. If you do not have a GST, read the Registering for GST article to know more and add your company PAN and Aadhar for the time being.

7. Return Policy & Terms and conditions: If you’d like to accept return, select number of days you would allow an item to be returned from the Return Policy dropdown. In the terms and conditions, set your return policy, shipping policy and cancellation policy. Refer to article Setting your shop policies to know more.

8. Warehouse Name: Sellers either work from home or have a warehouse/store. You can add the name of the store/ warehouse from where you will be shipping items.

9. Warehouse Phone: Enter the number of your warehouse or your mobile number so the shipping agent can reach you to pick up the packages.

10. Warehouse Location: Select the State and City of your warehouse location.

11. Warehouse Address and Pincode: Enter the Warehouse Address line 1, 2 and pincode for your warehouse.
 |
12. Video URL: A picture speaks a thousand words, and a video can do much more! Submit a video of your story while you are working on your creations and we’ll post it on social media channels to boost your sales. The video will also be shown on your store page.
Video specifications: A short video of a maximum duration between 45 secs to 1 min. Make sure the video is yours. Do not post something that isn’t your content. The video submitted will be added to Dufa’s channel on YouTube and a link will be shared with you. You need to enter this link in the store settings. If you already have a YouTube link of a video of your business or story, you can go ahead and add the link here.

13. Save & Continue: Click on Save and Continue to proceed.
14. GST Verification: Our Application verifies the GST entered by you to ensure it’s a valid GST.

Step 3: Accepting Terms & Conditions
Read and accept our terms and conditions and privacy policies to complete registration by clicking on the check boxes.

Publish Shop
At this stage, you have opened your shop, but it won’t be visible to customers till you publish the store. You can publish the store by clicking on the menu and navigating to Store Settings. From Store Settings, switch the Publish Store button to ON and click Save.

View your store
Navigate to the Dufa website from your phone or laptop – https://dufa.in . Search for your store by the store name. You will see you store appear. View your page. If you need to make any edits, go to the App and edit the Store Settings.
